What is the difference between Grass finished and Grain finished? On our order form you will see a question if you would like your beef grass or grain finished. Grass finished cattle are fed grass their entire life until slaughter. Grain finish means they were finished on grain. This comes down to the consumers preference. Grass finished tends to make the meat more lean and less fatty. Grain finished gives the meat more fat and marbling which in turn makes the meat more tender and flavorful.
